Time Table for Rules

Postby GiddyUp » Mon Feb 24, 2014 10:14 am

Dear all

Is it possible that rules can be planned in a time schedule? For example, that the first rules starts 2 a.m. generates data and the second rule starts 3 a.m.?
If it is possible please advice me how to do it.

Thank you ver much in advance.

The best way to do that is to create a few different projects.
Each project will contain rules for some event:
at 2:00 "c:\Data Generator\DG.EXE" -c d:\MyProjects\project1.dgp
at 3:00 "c:\Data Generator\DG.EXE" -c d:\MyProjects\project2.dgp

If you mean time of start, you have to use Windows Schedule user interface. It depends on Windows version.
To edit data generation rules just open required project by DTM Data Generator.

Your reply was really helpful.
I was able to schedule my DTM event, but the program just starts and needs user interaction.
Is there a special command line option to run without any user intervention?

Sure. Please look at my example above.
'-c' command line parameter switches the program to "console mode" that suitable for execution under the scheduler.
