Add to table using stored procedure instead of insert

Postby Wayne » Mon Mar 28, 2011 9:08 pm

My company is looking into purchasing a data generation tool but would like to insert the data into the table using our normal stored procedure. We would like to do it this way since we do some actions based on the values in some of the fields. Is it possible to do this using the DTM Data Generator?

Thanks!

Wayne,
The data generator provides two suitable fill methods:
1) by SQL statement. It allows you to specify any SQL statement as data source for some table column or columns
2) by linked table. Is an be used for master-detail relationships between tables.

Of course, our template engine supports both methods access as part of pattern.
