Postby Support Team » Wed Oct 17, 2012 3:44 am

We invite beta-testers for new multi-platform runtime for DTM Data Generator.
If you already have Enterprise or Professional license of the tool and interesting in existing project execution at the mentioned platforms, please contact us by e-mail.

Requirements: Java Runtime Environment and JDBC driver for your database.

Most active testers will get license for multiplatform runtime for free with 6 months support and upgrade subscription.

Thanks, R&D team.

Does it support unattended execution at GUI-free systems?

Yes. It supports '-c' command line parameter to switch the generator to console mode as well as DTM Data Generator.

Wow, it works 3-4 times faster with my projects. What is the reason? I've missed something?

Marta, it is OK for some projects. The run-time version does not support a few features and do not make any kind of schema or existing data verification.
Most important limitations are
- it does not support cross database references at all.
- it executes only 'clear' and 'data/file' rule type only.
- it supports 'append' and 'replace' data modification models only.
- it does not support "table driven" row count mode.

BTW, you can run the runtime at Windows systems as well using 'Jdbc over ODBC' driver.

In the build 2012.2 we've removed rule type limitation. The run-time version supports all rule types now.
Also, 'update' and 'scramble' modes are now available.
